Chariots of Fire (1981)

Known mostly for its iconic instrumental theme song, Chariots of Fire snagged the People's Choice Award at TIFF in 1981 and then went on to also win the Oscar for Best Picture in 1982. The movie tells the story of two vastly different British runners who compete at the 1924 Olympics. It was nominated in seven categories at the Academy Awards, and aside from its Best Picture win, also picked up three other victories.
