Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000)

This film is director Ang Lee's martial arts masterpiece. Starring Chow Yun-fat, Michelle Yeoh and Zhang Ziyi, it snatched the People's Choice Award at TIFF in 2000 before scooping up four wins at the 2001 Oscars. It was recognized in the Best Foreign Language Film category and the Best Original Score category, among others. Aside from its victories, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was also nominated in six other races, including the Best Picture and Best Director contests.
