Fantasy Island

Based on the popular family-oriented TV series of the same name from the 1970s, Blumhouse sought to turn the show into a horror movie. Critics lambasted it, giving Fantasy Island a 7 percent rotten rating at rottentomatoes.com. It debuted in fourth place at the weekend box office and sank from there, though it was still playing when lockdown went into effect. In slightly over one month in theaters, the horror flick earned a domestic total of $26,441,782, which was still a profit, considering it was made on a $7 million budget.
