Maleficent: Mistress of Evil – $113 million

Disney’s first entry on this list is their 2019 sequel to 2014’s live-action re-imagining of the titular Disney villain. Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning returned for the sequel, Mistress of Evil, but in spite of that, the film grossed less than half of what the original made. A crowded schedule, a change in release date, and the surprise performance of fellow October release Joker can be attributed to its lower performance, but the film still eked out a profit of $113 million.
