Forrest Gump (1994)

The touching story of a simple man who accomplished more than most, Forrest Gump touched the hearts of anyone who watched it and bore some of film's most quotable lines: "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." In addition to winning Best Picture and Best Director (given to director Robert Zemeckis), it also landed Tom Hanks his second consecutive Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
