In 2010 Fox looked to tap into the '80s nostalgia market with their cinematic reboot of the classic '80s action TV series The A-Team. Warner Bros. looked to tap into their comics repertoire under DC Comics and saw a similarly themed property to compete with The A-Team in The Losers. Both stories centered around ragtag military units framed for criminal acts looking to prove their innocence, but made on vastly different budgets. Neither film left much of an impact at the box office or with critics, but generally audiences enjoyed The A-Team more.
