After the night guard at the local Costco is mysteriously murdered, Evan (Ben Stiller), the manager, decides to put together a neighborhood watch team to protect his community. Bringing together three of his neighbors, Bob (Vince Vaughn), Franklin (Jonah Hill) and Jamarcus (Richard Ayoade), the men ultimately use their position as neighborhood watch men as time to get away from their families. While trying to protect their community along with trying to find the murderer, the men run into an alien invasion and have to protect everyone from the extraterrestrial creatures.
