Superman

Superman is the original superhero. His trademarks may be cliché, but that's only because they're so ingrained into our collective consciousnesses. Kal-El is the last son of the planet Krypton. Before Krypton's destruction, the baby Kal-El was sent to Earth by his loving parents. On Earth, Kal-El is adopted and named Clark by the Kent family. When he's grown, "Clark Kent" becomes a geeky reporter who wears glasses. In truth, Earth's sun gives Kryptonians superpowers. You know what they are! Our sun makes him faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound!
