Ann – Arrested Development

George Michael's girlfriend Ann on Arrested Development was played by two different actresses, but was actually supposed to be played by a lot more. Alessandra Torresani held the role of Ann first in season one and Mae Whitman took over the role for the rest of the character's appearances in seasons two through four. In an interview with PeopleTV, Whitman revealed the showrunners wanted to replace the actress who played Ann for every appearance, but they stuck with Whitman because she made "the whole not memorable thing work."
