In Yesterday, Jack Malik is overwhelmed when he becomes famous for playing The Beatles’ songs, so he decides to go visit Liverpool for inspiration. One of his stops is Strawberry Field at 16 Beaconsfield Road. When The Beatles lived in Liverpool, Strawberry Field was a Salvation Army children’s home. However, by the 1970s, it was in poor shape and was torn down. Currently, it’s under construction as you’ll see in the film. When it reopens, Strawberry Field will be open to the public for the first time, with an exhibition dedicated to the history of the place and the song "Strawberry Fields Forever" by John Lennon. It will also be a training center for young people with special needs.
