Timothy Hutton is the youngest recipient of the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. In 1981, the 20-year-old Hutton won the Oscar for his role in Ordinary People (1980), in which he played a teenager dealing with survivor's guilt after his brother dies in an accident. The young actor thanked his late father, actor Jim Hutton, in his acceptance speech.
