Richard Gere in The Lords of Flatbush

It's important to get along with your co-stars, and Richard Gere's removal from The Lords of Flatbush (1974) illustrates this. The Chicago Golden Globe winner was initially signed to play Chico in the dramedy, but regularly found himself at odds with co-star Sylvester Stallone. As the Rocky star told Ain't It Cool News, "We never hit it off. He would strut around in his oversized motorcycle jacket like he was the baddest knight at the round table." Their squabbles got to the point where Sylvester "elbowed him in the side of the head and basically pushed him out of [a] car." Sy added, "The director had to make a choice: one of us had to go, one of us had to stay. Richard was given his walking papers and to this day seriously dislikes me." The part of Chico eventually went to Perry King.
