Pierce Brosnan’s son to star with him in Last Man Out

Pierce Brosnan‘s son Sean will play the younger version of his father’s character in the upcoming movie Last Man Out. The movie, based on the book The Ghosts of Belfast, is about a former Irish Republican hitman who is the last man out of Long Kesh prison, which housed prisoners during the Troubles, in Northern Ireland. The movie flashes back to the hitman’s younger days, which is where Sean will come in. Craig Ferguson wrote the script and Brosnan’s fellow Irishman Terry Loane will direct. Filming begins in Northern Ireland later in 2013. Sean Brosnan, 29, and his half brother Dylan, have both taken to filmmaking and are working on a short film together. When Radio Times asked Pierce about starring in a movie with his son, he stated “If we can make it happen, I’d obviously love the chance of working with my boy.” He also commented about his children’s decisions to go into the film industry, saying “I’ll certainly help them in any way I can. But in the end, they all have to find their own way.” Pierce will next be seen in the movie Love Is All You Need, opening on May 24. ~Cassie Jasinski
