Piers Morgan bashes Madonna’s Super Bowl act

Piers Morgan has never shied away from telling people how he really feels about Madonna, right down to her “grotesque” arms. So it comes as no surprise that when the topic of her Super Bowl halftime performance came up on his show last night, he had some not-so-kind words to say about the singer. “I know you’re a huge fan,” he told his guest Chelsea Handler. “That Super Bowl performance, it was like watching your mad drunken aunt at Christmas. Is it just me? I keep reading all these celebrities tweeting, saying, ‘Wasn’t she awesome?’ No, she wasn’t. She was gruesome.” Not only was she gruesome, but he also criticized her for appearing to lip sync through the entire performance. “I don’t like the woman and she doesn’t like me, but at least I’ve found I have got one common ground with Madonna,” said Morgan. “Neither of us have sung live at the Super Bowl.”
Madonna hasn’t yet responded to Morgan’s harsh words but she’s probably got more important things to worry about, like prepping for her upcoming world tour this spring with expected stops through Europe, the Middle East, Australia, South America, and finally North America in the fall.

The Good Place actress Jameela Jamil said TV presenter Piers Morgan almost drove her to suicide last year. She’s one of many who have a complaint with him.
FINALLY someone is calling her out on it. She didn’t sing a word of that performance.
The half time show was liking watching an 85 year old stripper perform. You applaud the effort but it was more embarrassing than anything else. Madonna has to start acting her age soon before she breaks a hip, and then watch the jokes pile up. She should remember she’s 53, not 23.
the show was great regardless of what age she is or acts and I assure you having some limited experience in the area that you have never “EVER” witnessed a performance where there is as much dancing or stage use that was performed with live vocals…just try and hold a note and jump off the foot of your bed and see what it sounds like…it’s not possible so no need for criticism. To Piers…here’s another thing you have in common….she uses a douche and you are one. Fact is she’s a billionaire because of who she is and what she does but we all say she’s wrong….hmmm let’s just go have a looksee at our bank accounts
Piers is such a hopeless loser ! What the hell does he do for a living, sits around on his behind asking questions of more famous people who actually have talent of some kind.
Well Piers she can sing and has sung which you have not. She is probably in much better shape that you. Hence the arm envy. Seems more like Sour Grapes again from Piers which makes him look just Mean. What is he taking a page from Simon. I know she wouldn’t even consider taking him to bed. Maybe that’s his problem.
I don’t even like Madonna, and I thought she did a damn good job at the halftime show. I think she looked great (especially for her age); besides, this double standard between men and women is getting old (pardon my pun).
As far as Piers Morgan goes. I think he should spend less time being a pretentious drama queen, and more time focusing on his talk show. It sucks a$s in comparison to Larry King’s show.
I think Piers has no objectivity here. It is clear he doesn’t like the lady so his opinion of her performance is less than credible. Very few acts sing live anymore especially when incorporating a lot of dancing. It doesn’t bother me.
Objectivity? Hah,that’s a novel thought. Larry King was able to interview Iran’s President Ahmadinejad with a reserved composure (Larry’s Jewish, and this Ahmadinejad wants to wipe Israel off the face of the map – Genocide).
Piers, on the other hand, spends his time complaining about Madonna’s �grotesque arms”.

I liked Madonnas perfromance. I thought is what good (minus M.I.As finger malfunction and the lip syncing.) As for Piers, well I wonder why Larry King would pick YOU. Your just an obnoxious britt who puts everyone down. No wonder they fired you from AGT. Now I might just watch that this summer 😉

Piers Morgan is a sexist, ageist pig. He even got into an argument with Sharon and Kelly Osbourne on Twitter because they dared to praise Madonna’s Super Bowl performance. Anyway, it’s only a matter of time before his low-rated CNN show is canceled and he’ll go back to the UK. Or maybe he’s no longer welcome there after being involved in the phone hacking scandal.
I’m a madonna fan and I was dissapointed by her performance. The production and stage was great but there were obvious mistakes Im sure the perfectionist Madonna can’t be happy about also. She almost spilled once, a number of dancers were lost on stage, with a costume change there was this chunk of hair coming out of her chest..lol it was so distracting.
Pier is commenting basicly on just hating her but in reality the madonna i know wouldn’t have been happy with the performance also, In her defense she does get a lot of time to rehearse, do sound checks.. the production was just way too big, maybe next time think of less is more.
The performance wasn’t great, but I thought it was a lot better than the Black Eyed Peas from last year. That was terrible. Some of the people on here are right-Madonna needs to start acting her age, and that’s not being ageist or whatever you can say against that. No one is telling her to stop performing because she’s old. She needs to stop trying to be a 20 year old pop star with how she dresses and performs though. She’s desperately trying to hold on to the success that she had in her earlier years without trying to adapt. Annnnd I thought that last line from Piers was pretty funny!

Just remember, that you’re going to get old someday too, and when that day comes you’ll realize that the world didn’t stop, that you’re still capable of doing stuff, still interested in sex, and still capable of innovative ideas.
The problem, I think, people are having is that they’re trying to apply a double standard to women – it’s okay for men, but it’s not okay for women. Piers can act like a prima donna (a diva), but it’s not alright for Madonna.
Why is everyone bashing Madonna. She looks amazing, esecially for 50 years old. Shes hotter then most people i know in their 30’s, and im better shape. If her performance wasnt live who cares!? Most performances arent, you would be surprised. Theres such a double standard here. People are bashing Madonna for being a strong beautiful older women performing, but not McJaggar? Like come on, get a life.
Well it is tough to dance AND sing and sound good while doing it. Lip Sinc has been around forever. It’s just the way it is. He can bash it all he likes BUT she is an icon and we all got to see a live performance on our big screen tv’s for free.
