Pink put her foot down and addressed the fat shamers at the BMI Pop Awards held Tuesday night. She told Entertainment Tonight, “I don’t take well to bullying. I never have. I’m not a person that will be bullied. I’m not a person that will stand by watching other people bullied.”
She wants to be a good role model to her four-year-old daughter Willow and standing up to body shamers only seems appropriate. “I’m raising a girl. I am a girl. I have feelings. People think I take no s–t and I’m tough, tougher than nails, but I’m a human being.”
Last month, after attending a cancer benefit, she tweeted: “I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight.”
She continued: “So, my good and concerned peoples, please don’t worry about me. I’m not worried about me. And I’m not worried about you either…I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous, and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off. Thanks for your concern.” This headline-making tweet against those who called her “fat” was well-received by her fans.
