Pink is a pretty fearless performer who has sung in front of thousands of adoring fans around the world and has even mastered hanging from 100-foot acrobatic silks. But if you put her in a room with this legendary actor, she just “can’t do it.”
While on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, the “Try” singer revealed a pretty major crush on none other than movie star Johnny Depp.
“Him and Michael Keaton,” she said. “I can’t, I can’t. Beetlejuice just gets me every time.”
She said she “dodged” meeting Johnny — who was also a guest on the show — backstage, explaining that she “can’t talk” when he’s around. She revealed that she’d met him before at a record store — thanks to her husband Corey Hart — but that the meeting was disastrous.
“I was hiding behind records … [Corey] made me do it … I went up to [Johnny] and I was like ‘Hey, I saw Alice, I’m gonna be writing a song.’ He’s like ‘You saw Alice Cooper?'” the star divulged, while shaking at the unfortunate misunderstanding. Suffice it to say, she meant Johnny’s movie Alice in Wonderland.
Of the interaction, the increasingly embarrassed singer conceded, “I don’t feel like I nailed it.”
Well, redemption is hers because Jimmy had a surprise for her — her longtime crush appeared on stage. The rest is television gold. ~Shelby Morton
