The first biopic about the life of disgraced director Roman Polanski will be released October 20, 2009 on DVD in North America and in selected theaters across Europe in November. Spanning four decades, the film covers everything from a turbulent childhood in war torn Poland, the murder of his wife Sharon Tate by the Charles Manson cult and the infamous rape case that lead to Polanski’s exile to avoid incarceration by escaping to and maintaining residence in Europe. Terry Keffe, critic for The Hollywood Interview describes the movie as “a chilling portrait of one of the most controversial figures in the history of movies.”
