Police called for drunk, naked Charlie Sheen

Police were called to the Plaza Hotel in New York City by hotel security shortly after 2 a.m. this morning to subdue a drunk, naked and furious Charlie Sheen. The actor was in town with ex-wife Denise Richards, who was staying in a separate room with their two daughters. According to the New York Post, Sheen, 45, brought an unidentified woman back to his room. He told police he had been “out partying.” When he woke later to find his wallet was missing, he flew into a rage and trashed his suite. The police did not arrest the celebrity, instead allowing Denise to escort him to the New York Hospital.

This man is crashing and burning. Not going to be a good ending for him I fear.

He clearly has problems. We all do. Some of us have worse problems than others to deal with. Whether someone is mentally ill or not they’re still human and can recover. They aren’t “nut bars” like someone stated.

He NEEDs help and has a long history of drug and alcohol abuse. Something has to WAKE him up but it continues to look bad for him. Pretty sad as he has a great career (or did) and kids. He just has tremendous bad judgment.

Frankly, regardless of the scenario if someone stole my wallet I would be pissed too but not enough to trash a hotel room. There must be more to this but the man deserves his privacy. I honestly think that the press should cover people’s work and exercise tact and but out of issues like this.

Just like your own lives people deserve to have privacy to deal with things of this nature. Until you’ve been there you won’t understand his addictions and or mental health issues if there any.

Addendum: Mentally ill people if Sheen is one aren’t write-offs. I wanted to make that clear but couldn’t edit my post above.

G.D. In general I agree with your statements. With Sheen I had, up to this point, been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt; but this is too much. This morning I heard an update to the story that the escort was still in his room, locked in a closet, and he admitted using cocaine and drinking. Also, he had apparently spent the day with his (ex?) wife and kids (staying in the same hotel) before going back to his room to do this.

I don’t doubt he has some problems, as you stated, but he has had plenty of opportunity and support to do something about it. Whether he truly regrets the things he has done, and is having difficulty combating his disease, we will never know. But he certainly hasn’t publicly come across as being repentant and eager to help himself.

As for his privacy, his success as an actor is largely based on he himself putting himself in the public eye, and a lack of privacy comes along with that. Being hounded by the press is not automatic when becoming famous — there have been and still are many celebs who keep a relatively low key private life. How much was Paul Newman followed around? Lindsay Lohan, Brittney Spears and others choose to live a lifestyle outside their jobs as entertainers that make them a draw for tabloids.

The problem is that a delusional or addicted individual doesn’t see they have a problem nor can they be convinced of it.

That’s why Sheen and others consistently run smack into bad situations most people avoid. Something has to occur perhaps several times for them to clue in if at all. I don’t know whether to believe his lawyer that half of what is being reported is speculation and that he was on medication and had a reaction to it. I think it’s a nice way of spinning things. Then again, we weren’t there.

I read he went out to dinner with a bunch of hookers, invited his wife, who went back to her hotel room because they were all drinking and being rowdy, and then he took one back to his hotel room. He’s so disgusting.

An Ozzie Tribute to Charlie Sheen
Opening Lyrics to “Little Bit Toasty” from the album “HEX” by NOZ

I was found drunk and naked in a trashed hotel room
    With all my money gone
Chaos and mayhem had come to my party
    And bought anarchy along
It’s hard to believe a few toasted humans
Could make so ungodly a mess
From what I recall it was a hell of a night
    I had fun I guess
But now it was a little bit ghosty
    Just left of well weird
I fell asleep clean shaven and I woke up
    With a beard
So I staggered to the bathroom
To ease my bone dry throat
But when I looked in the mirror
What stared back was a black horned goat

Just when I was feeling toasty
That’s when it got a little bit ghosty

    and so on
