Puss in Boots is the new box office champ, having grossed an estimated $34 million (all figures U.S.) over the weekend, as well as 4.25 out of 5 stars from Tribute users, despite an unexpected blizzard in the Northeast, which kept a lot of moviegoers at home. Last weekend’s top movie, Paranormal Activity 3, dropped a spot to second, taking in $18.5 million and earning 3.5 stars at Tribute.ca. The new thriller In Time starring Justin Timberlake wound up in third place, earning $12 million and 3.75 stars. Footloose dropped a spot to fourth with an estimated $5.4 million and 4 stars. Rounding out the top five was the new drama The Rum Diary, which earned just $5 million and 3 stars, despite the star power of Johnny Depp in the leading role.
