Singer/record producer R. Kelly’s daughter, Jaya, recently went public with the information that he is a transgender boy and would like to be called Jay. Although only 13, Jay made the news official via social media and answered questions on the Q&A site Ask.fm about his decision. When asked if his mother supports his decision, he said “Yes.” However, when R. Kelly was interviewed by Chicago radio station WCGI about his daughter’s transformation, he responded, “You don’t really wanna open it up by saying my daughter is becoming my son, because if that were true… Don’t even give the blogs that kind of credit. You know what I’m saying? Real talk.”
When Jay was asked on ask.fm: “Is it difficult having a famous father during your transition?” Jay responded, “Yep.” He also said he likes girls and dates “females.” When asked if he ever went out with a boy and how was it, he replied, “Absolutly hated it, i thought it would change how i felt inside but nope, it didn’t. AT ALL (sic).” R. Kelly and Jay’s mother Andrea divorced in 2009.

R. Kelly, 53, who is awaiting trial for allegedly sexually assaulting minors, has added his name to the list of celebrities who would like to get out of jail and be placed on house arrest.
Technically, she is still a girl. Until she’s 18, she can’t have anything altered surgically.
there is no such condition
One does not have to be a post-op female to be transgendered male. He knows who he is on the inside and he identifies as male. It is only respectful to acknowledge and respect his decision. He’s the one living inside his body.
To dee, you may believe there is no such condition, but it’s accepted medically, psychologically and scientifically that it does.
Arre,
Such an intelligent and thoughtful response to Dee. Sadly, there are many misinformed, prejudiced, hurtful, thoughtless people like “dee” in the world.
Kudos to Jay Kelly. He gets his courage from his mother apparently.
You go BOY!! Be who you want to be….Your father should be ashamed of HIMSELF….love for your children is UNCONDITIONAL!!!
@zuh I think you need mental help as you are the one being so closed-minded.
