Radcliffe youngest waxwork

By Alexandra Heilbron on July 3, 2007 | 21 Comments

Daniel RadcliffeDaniel Radcliffe has become the youngest star to ever be immortalized in wax at London’s Madame Tussauds. Ben Lovett, spokesman for the wax museum, says that Radcliffe deserves the honor not just because he plays Harry Potter in the film series, but because he took the bold step of appearing in the stage play Equus, which includes a nude scene. He says, “With his 18th birthday around the corner and stage roles like Equus under his belt, Daniel has become a young British acting force to be reckoned with. It’s been great for the studio’s sculptors to recreate someone who we’ve all watched growing up on the big screen.” Radcliffe’s next film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, opens July 11th.

Isnt there some type of you know…. law, stating that underage nudity is wrong? Im sure if Dakota Fanning did a nude scene in a play there wouldnt be a wax sculpture of her… they should just be honest and make the statue cause he’s Harry

I think it is cool that they are making a wax figure of him. He is a very talented actor and deserves to be honored. Keep up the great work Daniel Radcliffe because we are ALL loving it!!!!

Harry Potter is a cult, plain and simple. Think outside the box, people!

“Harry Potter is a cult, plain and simple. Think outside the box, people!”

    Oh, tragedy. Get over it.

Easy for you to say, Dee; my kids have switched schools THREE times in the past two years after being pressured by other children to join their Potter cult. This is very real.

Harry Potter is more dangerous than Scientology because it recruits the children who grow up to be the leaders of tomorrow.

We finally decided to school our children at home when the risk of assimilation became unmanageable. It costs a bit more, but what can you do?

My kids know if they bring a Harry Potter book home they’ll be beat senseless.

  15. Mercedes • July 5, 2007 @ 10:08 AM

What is wrong with all you people? What is wrong with the Harry Potter books and characters. If the Harry Potter books are making us into the leaders of tomorrow, what is wrong with that. Think of it in the point of view of a child!!! There are worse in life than your children reading Harry Potter!!!

The HP books are doing irrepairable harm to our young people. They should be banned from our shores before it’s too late.

Sadly, Harry Potter represents everything that’s wrong with the world today. Regrettably, it’s too late to quell the tide.

There’s a bookstore on my block and those Potter punks started lining up TWO WEEKS AGO! Now there’s garbage all over and some pretty unpleasant odors wafting through our blistering hot streets. Fun is fun but something MUST be done!

Are you people kidding me?! The Harry Potter books have worked wonders on kids around the world! Kids, including myself, have learned to love reading through Harry Potter. Those opposed need to get a life and stop ruining it for the rest of us!

Does anyone know who Hilary Duff will be playing in the POTTER finale?
