Randy Quaid, wife seek asylum in Vancouver

Oscar-nominated actor Randy Quaid and his wife, Evi, are wanted in California for non-payment of a $10,000+ hotel bill and for vandalizing a house. The eccentric couple arrived in Vancouver last week asking for refugee status in Canada. They claim they’re targets of a mysterious group called the Star Whackers, who they believe murdered actors Heath Ledger, Chris Penn and David Carradine. The Quaids are scheduled to appear before the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Board on Thursday. “This is a bizarre tale indeed,” former prosecutor Robin Sax told Good Morning America today. “They continue to think they can get away with the crime they committed.” Private investigator Becky Altringer spoke to the Toronto Sun, explaining that Evi hired her a few months ago because she fears Randy’s life is in danger and claims there’s a conspiracy to murder Hollywood actors. “As I started investigating it, I realized the only person trying to harm them was Evi. There was definitely nobody after them,” Altringer told the paper. “Heath Ledger, Chris Penn, David Carradine all died of different things, they all died of self-inflicted (matters).” ~Alexandra Heilbron

No wonder he was so brilliant in Christmas Vacation-as it turns out, he was just playing himself -no acting required
