Real Steel starring Hugh Jackman debuted at the top of the box office this past weekend, grossing $27.3 million (all figures U.S.) and earning 4.3 out of 5 stars from Tribute viewers. George Clooney‘s new movie, The Ides of March, which he directed, co-wrote and co-starred in opposite Ryan Gosling came in second with a much smaller take of $10.5 million. However, it had a high Tribute viewer rating of 4.1 stars. Last week’s top movie, Dolphin Tale, wound up in third place in its third weekend at the box office, earning an additional $9.1 million for a three-week total of $49 million. Based on a true story, it remains a favorite with Tribute viewers, who gave it 4.6 stars out of 5. Moneyball starring Brad Pitt as a baseball manager fell to fourth place, taking in $7.5 millon. Tribute viewers gave it 3.8 stars. 50/50 starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a young cancer patient dropped one spot to round out the top five, earning $5.7 million and 4.5 stars.
