Reese Witherspoon won’t spoil her children at Christmas

reese_witherspoon_2.jpgReese Witherspoon, currently starring in Four Christmases, says she won’t let her children be spoiled at Christmas. The divorced mom has a daughter, Ava, 9, and a five-year-old son, Deacon, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe. She admitted that Ava asked for a horse for Christmas, but says, “I’m a little strict about that kind of stuff. I think kids do best when they only have a couple of things that they really enjoy. I try and stay away from the gluttony of things. They don’t appreciate it as much. When they only get one or two things, they really like it.” Ummm, so does  Ava get a horse or not? That’s only one gift, right? Reese also said that when her kids get tired of their own toys, they have fun with the Oscar that she won for her work in Walk the Line, by dressing it up: “At Christmas time, they put a little hat on him and a little scarf so he doesn’t get cold!”

i dont have any kids, but i have 2 nieces. and let me tell you, **I** alone buy them more than one or two things for christmas. i work making 8.75 an hour and i only work (if im lucky) 24 hours a WEEK. so if i can afford it, and i am willing to buy more than one gift, what is keeping her from buying more than one? and i dont really believe she only buys them 2 presents each.
