Ride Along retains box office crown for third weekend

Ride Along, starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube, retained the top spot at the weekend box office, earning an additional $12.3 million and getting a 3.5 star rating from Tribute readers. The incredibly popular animated film Frozen rose two spots to second, earning $9.3 million over the weekend for a whopping total of $360 million. The new comedy That Awkward Moment, starring Zac Efron, Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan, debuted in third place, taking in $9 million. Tribute readers voted it 3.7 stars. Another animated comedy, The Nut Job, was also in the top five at the weekend box office, dropping one spot to fourth place with earnings of $7.6 million and 3.3 stars. Rounding out the top five was Mark Wahlberg’s Lone Survivor, taking in another $7.2 million with a Tribute rating of 4.3 stars.
In the top 10 were (in order): Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, Labor Day, August: Osage CountyAmerican Hustle, The Wolf of Wall Street and I, Frankenstein. For full box office results, click here.
