Rihanna ditches SNL dress rehearsal

Rihanna performed her new single “Where Have You Been” on Saturday Night Live last week — and that’s probably exactly what was going through the producers’ heads just hours earlier. According to gossip site TMZ, the singer/actress angered SNL producers when she ditched the dress rehearsal happening directly before the live show because she was feeling sick. Instead, her dancers went on stage and rehearsed their choreography while her track played in the back. Although she was present for all other rehearsals, producers, including the series’ creator Lorne Michaels, were reportedly upset because when Rihanna did finally show up, she didn’t appear sick enough to miss a practice. She was even seen walking around in between sets as if nothing was wrong. However, in a statement to TMZ, a rep for the singer says taking it easy was a necessary precaution. “Rihanna was sick and needed to save her voice for the live show.” Sources say despite appearances, the “We Found Love” singer was very sick and even needed a doctor to administer a shot of penicillin before her live performance. ~Kyle Sharp

If you’re sick, you’re sick and shouldn’t be singing. They should give her a break.

Save her voice? For what….. she lipsynched the performance. Her fifteen minutes are nearing the end (thankfully). Hurry up Salena Gomez, we need another hot latina to take her place…

@Katie…I agree. So that means cancel the appearance and take time off. Don’t do a half-ass’d job and not have the decency to show for a rehearsal. unprofessional.
