Robert De Niro a father again

Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, 68, and his wife, Grace Hightower, 56, have once again become proud parents of a new baby girl, little Helen Grace, who was born yesterday via surrogate mother. This is the couple’s second child; their son Elliot is now 13. De Niro and Hightower first met in 1987 and married a decade later in 1997. They separated in 1999, sparking a custody battle over Elliot, but the divorce was never finalized and they renewed their wedding vows in 2004.
Little Helen Grace is baby number six for De Niro. He has two grown children with his first wife Diahnne Abbott, twin teen boys with ex-girlfriend Toukie Smith, and now two children with Hightower. The New Year’s Eve star also has always been open about his relationship with his children. “One of the most important lessons I’ve learned in my years as a father is to keep the lines of communication open with my kids,” De Niro once said in an interview with the Daily Mail. “Sometimes it’s hard to talk to kids, especially when they’re teenagers. They’re in their own world, and they don’t look like they’re even listening to you. But that’s the time when it’s most important to find a way to talk to them – not to lecture them, but to tell them things I think are important for them to know.”

My gosh, Robert will be 86 and Grace will be 74 when their kid hits 18. It’s a good thing they can afford nannies because that child won’t have much of a childhood otherwise.
