After the untimely death of actor James Gandolfini, the HBO miniseries Criminal Justice has decided to go on with production without their star actor. Oscar winner Robert De Niro will be taking over James’ acting role, but James will be credited as an executive producer. The miniseries was given the green light back in May, but after the death of the leading actor it was unclear whether the show would still be produced. Due to James’ passion for this project, the network decided to produce Criminal Justice in his honor. Criminal Justice is to be a seven-hour miniseries airing on HBO. The series follows a New York City attorney, played by Robert, who gets involved on a case of a Pakistani  accused of murder in the Upper East Side. Steven Zaillian is set to direct the first episode. Robert De Niro joins the original cast composed of Riz Ahmed, Bill Camp, Payman Maadi and Poorna Jagannathan. Production will start in March. ~Brie Davis
