Robert Pattinson confirmed for Oscars

Though Academy bigwigs reported earlier they would keep their list of presenters under wraps until the big night, HitFix has announced that Twilight’s Robert Pattinson, 22, is confirmed as a presenter at this Sunday’s 81st Academy Awards. Undoubtedly they’re hoping his presence will bring huge numbers of Twilight fans to tune in to the broadcast to see the heartthrob, as well as to catch a glimpse of who he’s bringing as his date. That equals higher viewership, if the ploy is successful. Pattinson, who rose to superstardom playing Edward Cullen in Twilight, will reprise his role in the sequel New Moon, which hits theaters November 20th.

   Love his hair, I wish it was longer. He looks clean, but could use a shave. I think he’s trying to look scruffy so 12-year-olds will leave him alone.

   I think he looks fine. I loved him on Harry Potter and can’t wait to see Twilight.

   I think the amount of fans fawning over him is overhwhelming and thats why he’s trying to put out a less ‘clean-cut’ version of himself. With the ciggarettes, alchohol, grimier appearance — it’s all because the fan girls are all over him, and the buzz of Twilight’s bothering him. To go from a regular actor to a ‘teen heartthrob’ and papparazzi darling has gotta be a tough thing — but he needs to clean up his act. The Rolling Stone pictures he did with on the bathroom floor with the ciggy half hanging out of his mouth is doing nothing but put even more light on him — and not good light either. It’s not his fault — his publisist is doing a crap job.

    i haven’t seen the movie or read the books, but I can honestly say I don’t find him attractive at all.
    I would love a go with my tweezers at his eyebrows…lol

    The Oscars?!? Am i the only one that saw the trainwreck called Twilight?? 5 minutes in i was praying he would bite me and put me out of my misery but i think it would have smudged his obvious lipliner. with any luck they will speed through making the next movie cutting corners to get it out and make it even worse that the first. harry potter at least is quality -twilight should be called dim backlight
