Roseanne tells Britney “Shut your mouth!”

RoseanneRoseanne Barr posted a letter on her website with maternal advice for Britney Spears. Sounding much like her character on the former sitcom, Roseanne, she wrote: “The judge is trying to teach you a lesson, shut your mouth and learn it! You are a bad mother, and so is your mother! Get your shit together and take care of your kids!!” She goes on to further criticize Britney’s mother, with whom the pop star has broken contact: “Your mom needs to lock your spoiled ass in the basement or wherever it is that you cannot get any more drugs. Stop drinking immediately too! If you are too weak to do that, then you are no better than a crack whore on the street.” She concludes with advice about Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney’s younger sister who stars on the TV show Zoey 101: “Put pimping out your other daughter on hold til you make your grown one better.”

  2. Ed Davis • October 25, 2007 @ 11:32 AM

Do people even remember Roseanne? She’s in no position to give career advice to anyone…

  3. Anonymous • October 25, 2007 @ 11:34 AM

No Roseanne, shut YOUR mouth! Britney’s a bigger star than you’ll ever be!

  4. Anonymous • October 25, 2007 @ 11:36 AM

I think we all forget what fantastic parents that both Rosie and Arnold were during their boozing, drug filled parenting years. Hail to the fat bi_ch for all her insightful child-rearing advice. We should all be so lucky to have a wonderful mother like Rosie to be proud of!

  7. Anonymous • October 25, 2007 @ 4:17 PM

Oh, I forgot to mention…that little bit about being a crack whore on the street…nice touch. Nothing quite as nice as trailer park, Jerry Springer trash giving advise and opinions on virtues.

  8. Anonymous • October 25, 2007 @ 7:15 PM

why do people care about Britney? you guys are pathetic and have no lives…Roseanne is telling the truth and that IS WHAT BRITNEY IS A BAD MOTHER AND HER 15mins of fame is over!!

  10. Nancy • October 25, 2007 @ 9:53 PM

Okay then!! MOST teachers do not want to spend 5 minutes on our children without the MONEY that you mention; and most doctors (not by choice) have been taught to be pill pushers by the drug companies and the government…because of….the MONEY that you mention.

  11. leonapeters • October 26, 2007 @ 1:06 AM

well look who’s calling the kettle black if u ask me both roseanne and britney r two people with sooooooo much in common. both r white trash and known for drugs and being bad parents. very funny of all people to speak against britney it had to be the biggest mouth in all of hollywood again showing her true colors of no class. they belong together

  12. Anonymous • October 26, 2007 @ 9:26 AM

Roseanne is completely right. She’s giving advice about soething she knows all too well. Now, by helping her maybe britney can get her shit toghether but I doubt it britney’s a stupid crack whore mother she’ll be finished and forgotten by 2010.

  13. Steve • October 26, 2007 @ 9:34 AM

No…all “you” people “SHUT Your Mouths”
Do you honestly think Britney or any other star gives a sh*t about your lives?
Just mind your own business and live your own life as best you can and be nice to people you come in contact with.
When will people stop going on and on about these screwed up celebreties….!!!

  14. Kris • October 26, 2007 @ 9:55 AM

  16. Anonymous • October 26, 2007 @ 12:13 PM

Hey steve you SHUT your mouth this is a message board to leave their feedback and your saying mind your business while YOU arent even minding your own business. Your contradicting yourself.

  17. Karen • October 26, 2007 @ 12:35 PM

I don’t drink so I will take a Cran Juice to go….lol. I like Roseanne. She’s hilarious. That’s just my opinion. Pick it apart if you will. I don’t really care one way or another…

  18. veronica • October 26, 2007 @ 12:36 PM

hey Roseanne is just trying to get Britney to
not fall into the same shit she did
sad for her and her Sons

  19. tim • October 26, 2007 @ 12:38 PM

    very sad

  20. Cathy • October 26, 2007 @ 1:49 PM

I really feel that Roseanne or any other celebrity has absolutely no right to give Britney advice – until you’ve walked in their shoes you have no right to judge – I do believe though that she definitely needs therapy for
her sake and that of her 2 beautiful sons or
things will continue to repeat itself in their
lives. May God bless her and watch over her as I believe she has so much to offer.

  21. quinn • October 26, 2007 @ 1:55 PM

I think in some way rosie is right. Just be the best mother to your children. If you do that there is really nothing you can’t do. Self respect goes along way too, and I think she needs some. Don’t be selfish there is more at stake here than just you.

  22. Jo-Anne • October 26, 2007 @ 4:05 PM

Trailer Trash Roseanne, has some good points -however if I ever had to look to her for advice I’d know I’d hit rockbottom

  23. Anonymous • October 26, 2007 @ 7:38 PM

Rosie should give Britney some slack…she is going through a faze that the fat, virtuous Rosie went through. The only difference was that Rosie was much older and wiser when booze ruled her life. It was ok for trashy Rosie (who was much older and should definately known better), but God forbid some kid go through the same faze. Britney’s biggest mistake was marrying that looser who was riding on her coat tails. Oh geez, Rosie also married the looser on her coat tails as well! It’s pretty obvious that all these comments were posted by women. Men do not spend their valued time on this type of mindless posting and shameless trashing. Shame on you women for once again bashing your own when it is obvious that her marraige to the sponge was the beginning of her downfall. Maybe you ladies should divert the quality time you spend posting sh_t on the internet to some positive time with your own families.

  24. Anonymous • October 26, 2007 @ 7:39 PM

    Amen Jo-Anne!

  25. Bob • October 26, 2007 @ 8:37 PM

Great that Roseanne still has it! I have always admired how she can just tell it as it is for the better good. Hopefully BS will listen and take note.

  26. Cartman • October 26, 2007 @ 8:47 PM

This shouldn’t be in the papers. For fans, it’s not about Britney’s kids, it’s about Britney and her career. With the exception of the odd lunkhead, people will be lining up to get Brit’s new cd next month. “Gimme More” rocks!

  27. Nancy • October 27, 2007 @ 2:32 AM

Well, listen to you Anonymous, the woman basher!! You should take your own f**king advice and quit posting your mouthy sh_t on the internet!!! You just bashed Roseanne, Britney, and all of us ‘ladies’, so who the hell do you think you are????? You don’t even have the ‘parts’ to put your name on your posting! While we post and spend time with our families, you should go back to school and learn some respect…oh….and you might want to maybe take a spelling class while you’re there!! Dumbass!!

  28. sk8tergirl • October 27, 2007 @ 11:57 AM

    Yeah Roseanne! Way to go!

  29. Julie • October 27, 2007 @ 3:43 PM

I just read through people’s comments and it’s so sad how many of them can’t spell words correctly. The saddest of all are the ones who use short forms like r instead of are, u instead of you, nutz instead of nuts, etc. I guess it’s thanks to text-messaging. Very, very low intelligence as I see it. And good for Roseanne!! She’s more of a woman than Britney will ever be.

  30. Nancy • October 27, 2007 @ 7:36 PM

Thankyou Julie! I keep telling them all to get spell check and to take spelling classes!!!

  31. Jo-Anne • October 27, 2007 @ 8:07 PM

    Julie, Julie, Julie,
Short forms used in text messaging are obviously to get your message across quicker. Low intelligence? Hogwash.
However, “intelligence” is about the last word that comes to mind when speaking of Roseanne Barr(f) – yes, I know Julie “barf” is one “R”! – oh, sorry, perhaps the word “woman” is even farther away…

  32. Anonymous • October 27, 2007 @ 11:26 PM

The name is Gina and I didn’t mean any disrespect. The last comment was uncalled for. It just upsets me when I hear women trashing other women when we are all in the same boat. I am not a woman basher; on the contrary, I find women judge other women very harshly. We judge looks, how clean someone’s house is, how good or bad someone’s kids are, how someone is dressed etc etc etc. We are all sitting here reading about Britney’s life spiraling out of control, and judging what kind of mother she is when her parenting skills are really not the issue in her life right now. Her parenting skills are affected by the stress in her life. Having gone through a divorce myself and a lengthy custody battle, you become consumed with your problems and are not as focused on your kids as you would normally be. This is a young lady we should feel compassion for. She is a beautiful woman loosing her mind, her money, her marriage and now her kids and all people are talking about are her parenting skills? What kind of friggin parenting skills can you have while going through this? People become alcoholics and have nervous breakdowns after loosing a job, never mind loosing their entire lives.

  33. Billy Hill • October 28, 2007 @ 9:38 AM

“good for Roseanne!! Shes more of a woman than Britney will ever be.”

Pound for pound, you’re probably right.

  34. Mary Ann • October 28, 2007 @ 11:51 AM

i agree with Gina. We all have sh-t to deal with in our lives. Its how we deal with that sh-t that defines us. I don’t know anybody, including myself, that would be able to live through what Britney is and come out smelling like roses. Instead of reaching out with our hearts to comfort or our tongues to encourage, we are acting like we are so much better. No matter what a person does, there is always forgiveness. I forgive people that screw up in traffic because I know that I have been there or will be there at some other time in my own travels. I am a very capable woman who didn’t believe in myself because my parents never encouraged me. I gave my power away all my life – to men. Its what we are supposed to do, right? Wrong! Poor Britney. She is another victim. Women, before you get married and have babies, take a real good honest look at why and if the answer you hear is because “he loves me” you are about to give away all your power. LOVING OURSELVES IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WE CAN DO TO ENSURE THAT OUR DECISIONS ARE FROM THE RIGHT PLACE. Hang in there Britney.

  35. Anonymous • October 28, 2007 @ 12:42 PM

Thankyou Julie! I keep telling them all to get spell check and to take spelling classes!!!

Spell check??? What are you writing here, reports?

  36. Anonymous • October 28, 2007 @ 12:47 PM

    So quick to speak Nancy,
FYI Thank You is two words. You should have used spell check.

  37. Gina • October 28, 2007 @ 1:03 PM

Thankyou Julie! I keep telling them all to get spell check and to take spelling classes!!!

    Dumb = adjective
    Ass = noun
    Thank You = two words

    Need I say more?

  38. Randy in the Mountains • October 28, 2007 @ 1:15 PM

I know just what you mean, Mary Ann. 🙂

  39. Billy Hill • October 28, 2007 @ 1:17 PM

    I’m loving myself right now…

  40. Ginger Grant • October 28, 2007 @ 1:21 PM

“I am a very capable woman who didnt believe in myself because my parents never encouraged me.”

I always admired your moxy, Mary Ann.

  41. Gina • October 28, 2007 @ 3:02 PM

Half the battle of overcoming our insecurities is understanding why we have them in the first place. I am glad to hear you use the past tense in saying that you “didn’t” believe in yourself. Knowing first had that people thrive better in encouraging environments will no doubt have a positive impact on the next generation in your family.

  42. Anonymous • October 28, 2007 @ 3:19 PM

I would love it if my mother addressed the press on parenting wearing Rosie’s t-shirt. Her kids must be so proud. She should have sang the national anthem at the end of her little trashing session; just to kind of re-enforce who and what she is and stands for.

  43. Anonymous • October 28, 2007 @ 4:00 PM

Thankyou Julie! I keep telling them all to get spell check and to take spelling classes!!!

    Professor Nancy

What is with your fixation on spell check?
    You sound like an idiot!

I am impressed with how much effort and time you put into your postings. Most people cant be bothered using spell check because they are just posting a comment or opinion. You on the other hand seem to take your writings as though they were some kind of editorials.

You know what I think? I think you write your post in word, then run spell check and edit any mistakes you’ve made and after that copy and paste your “editorials” online? Too much work for most people my dear. I feel sorry for you. Do yourself a favour and hide your f_cking spell check button, MORON.

  44. Nancy • October 29, 2007 @ 12:43 AM

F U!! Do you know what that means MORON? At least I have the “intelligence” to put my name to my postings! Please, do not feel sorry for me. I NEVER said I was perfect, I do not use spell check. Yes, I do sometimes make an error in my spelling, but not every second word dumb *ss!! Try not to think too much, Karen…I mean Anonymous. Your tiny brain might overload!!!

Gina: Shouldn’t you be writing another book? Maybe shaving your big, hairy legs you spoke of, dumb *ss!! FYI…my dumb *ss comment, is one of the best comments from That 70’s Show!! It just so happens to suit you perfectly!!

Mary Ann: Britney is a victim of Kevin, but her two babies are a victim of her!! Those children need someone to take care of them and raise them. She needs to push her problems aside for now!

Randy and Billy: Keep on loving!! LOL.

  45. Nancy • October 29, 2007 @ 1:03 AM

Oh, so much for giving up on ‘cheap shots’ eh, Gina?? I really don’t care what you think of me either way! I come here to get a good laugh, and between Karen and yourself, the two of you always deliver!!! LOL.

  46. Karen • October 29, 2007 @ 4:35 AM

I will take that as a compliment because I do the same with yours. What’s with the *’s? Why not just say Ass? If you are so blunt with your comments why try to be nice by using those? It nixes the purpose.

I loved the 70’s Show. Red is hilarious. House is my favorite now……

She should have kept Kevin as a pet and got rid of him after using him.

  47. Anonymous • October 29, 2007 @ 9:22 AM

I don’t use my name because you know who I am. I’m just getting sick of listening to you. Guess who dumbass

  48. Nancy • October 29, 2007 @ 10:09 AM

Then don’t listen to me! I don’t drag you here everyday! Oh, and supposedly, your last word should be two words I hear!! Also, ‘knowing’ someone and reading postings are two different things. I DON’T know you and DON’T care to!!

  49. Nancy • October 29, 2007 @ 10:10 AM

Anger management classes are really filling up these days!!

  50. Cristin • October 29, 2007 @ 10:43 AM

“Guess who dumbass” Um, Gina, right? Aka Trixxie?

  51. Gina • October 29, 2007 @ 5:45 PM

Nope, but she can take the credit lol

  52. Fannie Mann • October 30, 2007 @ 4:53 PM

Gina, shave your legs before people start mistaking you for Roseanne!

WHY hasnt somebody noticed that the deadbeat DAD, Kevin Federline, is a monkey Britney cant get off her back? What has HE EVER DONE to support those kids??? Its EASY to be a stay at home DAD when Mom BRITNEY is paying all the bills!!! LMAO! You guys have NO IDEA what youre talking about. That LOSER never had a pot to piss in, NOR a window to throw it out of before he met Britney. Britney, you GO GIRL!!! Get the HIGHEST PAID LAWYER YOU CAN FIND and kick his skanky, nasty, LOSER, MOOCHER, FAGGOT a** to the CURB!!! Do your stuff BEHIND CLOSED DOORS divorce is hard, child custody battles are even HARDER.

As far as Roseanne Barr…….puke. Can you imagine waking up to that fat, ugly woman on a daily basis?!? :ox

  56. Julie • November 7, 2007 @ 12:37 PM

I’ve just returned to this site after posting on October 27. The comments thereafter have been priceless; I’ve been chuckling all along. How silly some of you are.

Thank you, Nancy. And as for Jo-Anne writing that “short forms used in text messaging are obviously to get your message across quicker,” I’m not arguing that; I just want to ask, “Are you text messaging here?”

Keep up the funny catty remarks. I’ll be back in a week or so to check on things, especially when I want a good laugh.

  57. Anonymous • November 8, 2007 @ 11:54 PM

I’m glad you able to get a few chuckles. I rather enjoyed myself as well! Anon aka Gina aka Anonymous
