Mark Ruffalo and his family have released a statement after Mark’s brother, Scott, died Monday after his life support machine was switched off. The statement reads: “Mark Ruffalo and his family deeply appreciate the outpouring of prayers and support during this most difficult time of the passing of Scott Ruffalo, beloved son, brother and husband.” They announced that the funeral will be a private one, and that a fund will be set up in his honor. Shaha Mishaal Adham, a friend of Scott’s who was considered a suspect, has been released. According to her lawyer, Ronald Richards, Scott Ruffalo “was playing with guns” and accidentally shot himself in the head. Richards said Adham found Scott Ruffalo dead at his house and fled the scene. Brian Schofield, who was considered a “person of interest,” was also released after questioning.
