Russell Brand doesn’t want Katy Perry’s money

Russell Brand has officially stated that he doesn’t want any of Katy Perry’s money in their divorce settlement, despite being entitled to over $20 million due to the fact that there was no pre-nup. His lawyer filed final divorce papers yesterday and following the six-month waiting period, the divorce will be made official June 30, 2012. Because Katy made $44 million during the 14 months they were married, Russell would be entitled to half of that, but a source told TMZ: “This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (good person). He doesn’t want Katy’s money.” During the same time period, Russell made $7 million, according to Forbes. Russell, who’s pictured above giving money to a homeless man in Los Angeles last week, stars in the upcoming Rock of Ages alongside Tom Cruise, opening June 1st.

I’m lost… what did she put him through, cause I’m betting the sex was great. As I’ve said before this guy is one cool cat, and apparently honorable as well.

I never really got that couple, it always seemed like a weird match. He has his own money, why would he take hers? He had sex with her for a couple of years, a lot of people would pay 22 millions for that 🙂

He might regret that decision in the future but for all the ladies out there (like the one who took half my best friends stuff-like even the forks and knives..like realy who wants only half set of forks and spoons and knives! that’s a mean bit**h)..anyway ladies, there is love and war, and there is also just let it be and move on.
    Good on ya Russell.

It’s nice to finally see someone be classy about their divorce. Not everything is about money, and I think people have forgotten that.

He is young and able to earn…it is not like he gave up a career to support her in hers…so he’s right in not looking to just “take”…GOOD for you Russel.
