Russell Brand wants a chatty cat

Russell Brand wants a cat who can talk if he doesn’t have kids with Katy Perry. The British comedian is set to tie the knot with his fiancée in a few weeks. The pair would like to have children, but Russell has a back-up plan in case it doesn’t happen right away. He and Katy love cats and have several felines already – but Russell is hoping his next pet will be far more advanced. “I think I would like to either have a child or a cat that could speak… but then would it even talk to you if it could?” Russell said in an interview with British TV host Lorraine Kelly. “I have a cat at the moment that fetches things – you throw a ball and the cat runs after it and brings it back. It doesn’t look at you yearningly as a dog might but there is the implication that it wants you to throw it again.” Russell went on to discuss his concern that the wedding may be affected by media intrusion. “I hope we can have a quiet wedding, we haven’t got that many people coming,” Russell explained. “My mum is worried about it, she’s like, ‘Oh no, what am I going to wear?’ But she always looks lovely my mum, I don’t know why she worries about it.”

I love what he said about his mom. I’m not especially a fan of his work but that was really sweet.
