I think he deserves it after everything he’s gone through

Knighthood for what?? Being a relatively new Hollywood celebrity? What’s he done otherwise that really stands out to be honoured like that?
Sir Anthony Hopkns, does some charity work, been around for eons and has a classical background and many awards.
Sir Sean Connery, well he’s Scottish and fights publically for his country’s rights and freedoms, while still showing he represented Britan as 007 respectfully.
Sir Bono (From U2)Humanitarian and rocker.

See, they’ve been around for years, they are Scottish, English, and Irish, you can get knighted if you live in the UK, but you need to do noteworthy things. Not just quitting alcoholism or sexoholism and making a few bad movies and being in the public eye. Remember, wasn’t Brand a shock entertainer in Britan and didn’t he try to pie members of parliament? Hmm, might not get you too far in the knighthood race just because you don’t walk around with baked goods anymore.
