Russell Crowe and wife separate

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Academy Award-winner Russell Crowe and his wife Danielle Spencer are separating. They met 22 years ago while both were filming the Australian drama The Crossing. Crowe has said in the past that they immediately  felt a “deep respect” and “mutual understanding” for each other.  The Australian duo dated on-and-off until finally deciding to tie the knot in 2003. Spencer, a performer and musician who released two albums between 2001 and 2011, in 2011 gave two live concerts along with Crowe. Russell and Danielle, who spent nine years living in Woolloomooloo — a harborside city in New South Wales, Australia — have two sons: Charles, 8, and Tennyson, 6. News of  relationship troubles began to spread in June when photos of Spencer spending on a night out with her Dancing with the Stars partner Damian Whitewood surfaced. However, with seven feature films scheduled for release in the next year, many are speculating that what appears to be one of the busiest work schedules in Crowe’s career caused the breakdown. Crowe plays Javert in Tom Hooper‘s film adaptation of Les Miserables, set to hit theaters December 25.~Brandon Bastaldo

separation is not a divorce..yet. At least they had 22yrs off and on. That’s ancient in Hollywood terms.
