Russell Crowe told Rebel Wilson to eff off

By Tribute on April 12, 2013 | 4 Comments

Rebel Wilson revealed one of her life’s most awkward moments on The Tonight Show this week. The comedian and actress, known for her roles in Bridesmaids (2011) and Pitch Perfect (2012), won the Nicole Kidman Scholarship at the Australian Theatre for Young People when she was younger. The scholarship, which was paid for by Kidman, allowed Wilson to go to New York to study comedy. Understandably, she wanted to thank her fellow Aussie. The opportunity fell into her lap one day in Sydney, Australia. Wilson spotted Nicole Kidman having dinner with friend and Gladiator star Russell Crowe. She said, “I went up to them but before I could say anything, Russell Crowe turns to me and says, ‘F**k off!'” Wilson, shocked by his outburst, walked away in shame. Although she never got a chance to speak to Kidman that night, she thanked the actress later during her interview on The Tonight Show. Since her encounter with Crowe, Wilson’s career has taken off. She will host the MTV awards this weekend and will be back in theaters April 26 when Pain & Gain opens. ~Cassie Jasinski

I can appreciate that being bothered frequently while out just trying to have a meal with a friend would be bothersome, but telling someone to eff off is not acceptable in any circumstance, let alone when you rely on those individuals for your career. Crowe would be best to remember this…

He’s always been known to be somewhat of a deuche. It’s the gladiator in him.

A bit rude I would say…that is his reputation though. No excuses however.
