It’s a bit difficult for Russell Crowe to have quiet time at his house right now as the wildlife has been rampant lately. Crowe, who lives in Australia, spent some time hanging around with monkeys in the middle of the bush at night earlier this week. Now, the Les Misérables actor has a bit of a bird problem. Earlier today, he tweeted, “I have about 300 sulphur crested Cockatoo outside my window having an afternoon chat … absolute cacaphony.” (sic) Sulphur-crested cockatoo are large white birds with yellow crests, which are native to Australia and New Guinea. They like to gather in groups and are considered pests in parts of suburban Australia especially. In fact, they can be so numerous and destructive that they can cause damage to crops and houses. Based on Crowe’s comment, they can probably do a number on your eardrums as well. ~Cassie Jasinski

Should be soft, almost succulent and if bent they will snap, or squash if pressed. Trim each cutting just below a node; remove its lower leaves. Normally root within two weeks.
