Ryan Gosling breaks up NYC street fight on video

Ryan Gosling was caught on video breaking up a street fight in a busy New York City intersection. Before the actor appeared on scene, several men stood around as one man was trying to hang on to a painting while another tried to take it from him. The fight was escalating, with one man shouting, “Give it to me!” when Gosling showed up. He put his hand up to block the guy who was grabbing the man with the painting, then dropped his shopping bag and got in between them, pulling one away from the other. He escorted them out of the intersection and over to the sidewalk as girls on the sidelines recognized him, squealing, “That’s the guy from the movie — The Notebook!” Valerie Alvea, who shot the video, told E! News what she witnessed: “He took them to the corner and asked them what was going on. The gentleman was like ‘He stole my painting’. So [Gosling] gave the guy a $20 and asked if it was settled. He took the money out of his pocket and said ‘If that’s what you’re fighting for, here you go’.”
