Ryan O’Neal fine with Farrah’s will

ryan_o'nealRyan O’Neal doesn’t mind that he was left out of Farrah Fawcett‘s will after the two reconciled in 2007. The actor insists he supports the will, and doesn’t need any money, reports FemaleFirst. O’Neal says he was at the actress’s side when she signed the will, and that they’d agreed upon the conditions. “Farrah’s and my relationship was based on a deep love and respect for one another and for our son Redmond. After discussing how her financial affairs would be handled in the event of her passing, we agreed that our son Redmond would be the primary beneficiary of her estate. These were Farrah’s wishes and I am perfectly happy with them,” confessed the actor. Farrah Fawcett, who lost her battle with cancer in June, left $4.5 million to her son. She also left smaller sums to Greg Lott (a longtime friend who had financial troubles), her nephew and her father.

As much as I dislike O’Neil, I think this is very sweet. I don’t think he should be getting any anyway, I mean he’s has a job, he’s a grown man, he doesn’t need to inherit anything. I also liked that Fawcett left some for her friend who had some financial troubles – he must be very grateful.

I’m a little skeptic though about leaving all that fortune to her pot-smoking son. I have a bad feeling about where that money is gonna go…

I agree, ke, about her leaving all that money to Redmond. If “pot” was all he did it wouldn’t be so bad but, when he’s into all that other chemical crap, it gives me a bad feeling as well. Hopefully he changes up his life though after her passing. I hope he can stay clean.

I imagine that’s why Ryan is ok with the will, this way Redmond will have lots of money to buy that stuff, and maybe will share with good ole Dad.

huh. although i want to agree with all of you, i also have my own theory. maybe he is only saying that he is fine with her will because he realizes he will be considered a “monster” by the world if he admitted he was mad about not getting anything from farrah. i can understand leaving your son money, but she left her friend and her nephew and her father money as well. what about her sister/brother? also, how can you leave those people money but not the person you “loved/respected” the most? it doesnt make any sense to me. wouldnt you want them to have something that was from you? and youre right ke, he does have a job and he is a fully grown man…but should that mean he isnt entitled to half of her insurance? they were in a relationship, a partnership if you will so shouldnt half of everything that is hers belong (legally) to ryan? i think i would feel insulted if my partner passed away and left everything to everyone else (because she included her friend and her nephew) and left me nothing. isnt ryan the one that was with her while she was sick? isnt he the one that had to deal with everything that comes with farrahs cancer? shouldnt that mean he deserves SOMETHING?

He wasn’t her partner, mandee. They weren’t together. They were just friends…divorced long ago. So, he is “entitled” to nothing but I’m sure she left him some of her personal belongings to remember her by, just not her money…and he’s right, he has his own. Farah’s best friend Alana Stewart wasn’t mentioned as receiving anything either and she was there with Farah all the way at least as much as Ryan was. Alana doesn’t need the money either though. I think Farah did the right thing by leaving her money to the people in her life who are not already filthy rich.

i thought they were together lmao. i assumed thats why it said they reconciled? well, thanks for clearing that up ! 😀

I think they meant that they were back to getting along. They were not on speaking terms for awhile. Possible friends with benefits though, LOL.

I think they mostly got back together as friends when she got sick. And I think even that was him looking to get back in the spotlight. There’s nothing I trust about that man. Remember when he said he didn’t tell Redmond or Farrah’s father that she was not going to live, because he couldn’t bear it? I thought that was extremely selfish, because they would have wanted to be able to spend some time with her before she passed, and also it would have given them some time to try to prepare themselves for what was happening.

Yeah Tributegirl, and like Farrah’s dad don’t read the tabloids and hear the gossip just as the rest of society does. Also, I’m sure there are tv’s in jail where Redmond is. I’m sure he listened to the stuff that was being reported on shows like Entertainment Tonight, etc. about his mom, seeing as he couldn’t be with her. They should have heard it from Ryan.

i agree. it was pretty low of him to not tell them.
