Ryan Reynolds joins Canada’s Walk of Fame

Ryan Reynolds, aka the “Sexiest Man Alive” according to People magazine, will be inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame, it was announced yesterday. Reynolds graces the current issue of Tribute magazine, in his role as Green Lantern.  Joining him will be Sandra Oh of the long-running medical series Grey’s Anatomy, late author Mordecai Richler, recording artist Burton Cummings, comedian Russell Peters, astronaut Roberta Bondar and tennis star Daniel Nestor. To be eligible, nominees must have a minimum of 10 years experience in their field of expertise, and have had a national or international impact on Canadian heritage. The inductees will each have a star with their name on it embedded into a walkway in downtown Toronto, in the entertainment district. The ceremony to honor the inductees will take place in Toronto on October 1, 2011.
