Sarah Jessica Parker involved in shoplifting incident

Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker was at the airport in Oslo, Norway on Wednesday, waiting for a United flight to New York City following a Nobel Peace Prize concert, when her entourage was stopped by police. An airport shop owner accused one of the people in Sarah’s entourage of shoplifting, causing the flight to be delayed while the incident was being investigated. The alleged shoplifter was initially believed to be Sarah’s assistant, but a source told gossip site TMZ she was not employed by Sarah, but was a Nobel Peace Prize employee who travels as a part of her entourage. The Nobel Institute then quickly contacted TMZ to deny the person was in any way linked to their organization, saying, “This individual (the shoplifter) is NOT an employee of and has no connection to the Nobel Institute, which awards the Peace Prize and presents the Peace Prize Concert. She is a freelance make-up artist who was contracted by an outside agency that specialized in that area.” An on-the-spot settlement of $1,400 was paid to the shop owner before the actress and her team were able to board the flight.
