Second man accuses John Travolta of sexual assault

By Tribute on May 10, 2012 | 46 Comments

Earlier this week, a masseur slapped John Travolta with a lawsuit accusing the actor of sexually assaulting him during a session at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Now, a second masseur has come forward saying he was also victimized by Travolta in a separate incident. The unnamed man, who is being referred to as John Doe No. 2 in court papers, is claiming Travolta rubbed his legs inappropriately, touched his genitals and openly tried to initiate sex during his private massage appointment in an Atlanta hotel room in January. Since the two men came forward, the plaintiffs’ attorney, Okorie Okorocha, told Radar Online he’s been contacted by other victims with similar complaints who didn’t speak up sooner because they didn’t think anyone would believe them. Travolta’s lawyer, Martin Singer, is still maintaining the claims are fictitious. “This second ‘anonymous’ claim is just as absurd and ridiculous as the first one,” said Singer. Travolta’s team is reportedly promising to sue Okorocha and his clients after they have the suits thrown out of court.

Despite his 20-year marriage to Kelly Preston, this isn’t the first time Travolta has been accused of being gay. In 1990, actor/porn director Paul Barresi claimed he had a two-year affair with Travolta in the early ’80s. Several months after the story went public, Barresi retracted his claims and wrote a letter saying they weren’t true  —  although many people believe it was only done under the severe pressure of Travolta’s legal team.

    Where there’s smoke there’s fire.

He is hunk, I have always loved him since his first movies like grease and Saturday night fever. I would love to be his f/buddy or partner.

  3. Chris • May 10, 2012 @ 9:51 AM

I do not beleive this ! John always seems to be a normal guy and I am sure he had his fair share of women in his life. There is no ways a guy like him will go on the other side. I do not see it at all !

Often there are goal diggers out there who see an opportunity to get “easy money” and they will tarnish good people reputation for money. That’s wrong. I am not saying things like this will nver happen as on the other hand, the rich would do things knowing they can get away with it but I do not buy this particular story. I am a fan of John and would stick on his side and I belive he is a straight normal man like myself. There are too many beautiful women on this earth for a guy like John to even think of going with a man.. Sorry..I am supporting John..and do not believe those stories.

  4. KC • May 10, 2012 @ 9:55 AM

    Hey Chris,
Why does one have to be straight to be normal? And if a man is attracted to another man, all the beautiful women in the world won’t change that.

  5. David • May 10, 2012 @ 10:40 AM

First of all, it sounds like BS. Why is it that as soon as one person comes forward, a number of others do? MONEY. Even if the dude did come on the these massage therapsits, are those guys really so traumatized that they would need to sue him? A simple, “Hey man, I’m not into that” would work just fine. Total BS.

  6. Jo • May 10, 2012 @ 10:57 AM

As with most of these celebrity articles… who cares??

  7. Valerie • May 10, 2012 @ 11:08 AM

I love John and think he is one of the sexiest men alive. But I do believe he is gay/bi and is afraid to come out. But I am not saying I believe these stories. He has a lot of money and people are trying to take advantage of him.

  8. Hairbag • May 10, 2012 @ 11:27 AM

marriage does not constitute not being gay or bi ……what is could be is strictly business arrangement
I have known a few men out there married and have children but where are they on a Friday nite
with the boyfriend, does the wife know not a chance usually the last person to find out, and the others
that have come forward, security in numbers, being the first is not an easy thing to do …but I will
not judge myself not my place

  9. Jon • May 10, 2012 @ 11:35 AM

Well his pic above sure doesn’t scream 100% straight to me that’s for sure..no straight man crosses his arms like that… lol… IMHO I think he’s bi-sexual…he’s just afraid to come out and admit it as it’ll ruin his reputation and career. I can’t think of any actor who has come out and admitted to being g@y or bi-sexual and has continued a huge success career wise after…definite career killer. But aside from that John Travolta is one of my favorite actors. I’ll continue to support him nonetheless if he does decide to come out even though he may have a ‘wandering hand’ so to speak..lol

The problem here isn’t that Travolta is or isn’t gay or bisexual.

If these allegations are true, the problem here is that he saw fit to sexually assault someone — regardless of whether they were male or female.

I have no problem with Travolta’s sexuality; what I would have a problem with is him being a sexual predator. THAT would be the career killer.

  11. Shannon • May 10, 2012 @ 12:00 PM

Sorry, is the real story that he maybe gay or that he may have sexually assaulted someone. If he did assault someone then he should be extended the same courtesies as a normal person would who would do something that would violate another person. If he’s gay who gives a crap…as far as I am concerened your sexual orientation has no bearing on my life and I don’t see why it should matter to anyone else.

  12. Sean • May 10, 2012 @ 12:13 PM

I bet he likes to GREASE it up. OHH say it so Vinny B.

  13. Mr Magoo • May 10, 2012 @ 12:35 PM

I have an issue with the way the courts work. If the plaintiff can be anonymous then they have nothing to lose. They can sue somebody without any fear of public condemnation. If they want to be anonymous, then they should not publically announce the name of the accused. This just opens the door up for extortion, “Pay me $50G or I’ll ruin your career without ever saying who I am”. It’s a scam.

  14. ja • May 10, 2012 @ 12:37 PM

Oh for goodness sake leave the celebrities alone they have jobs and Travolta does his well. What a bunch of crap follows these celebrities when they are in the spotlight. These worms should crawl back in the ground and leave Travolta alone he is a very good actor, husband and father Just because he has money doesn’t mean that he isn’t normal he is good looking and after all married 20 years that should tell something how many people reach 20 years, I have reached 49 and my hubby isn’t gay and neither is Travolta.

  15. Anna A • May 10, 2012 @ 12:47 PM

I don’t think it is fair for celebrities to be sued for trying to have sexual experiences. If a nobody initiated an interaction with someone, it wouldn’t go to court. They would just say not interested and that would be it. Seems like the masseurs may have enjoyed the attention if got to fondling stage…and then see the possibility of money and decide to sue! Just saying, Big Deal….attraction is attraction and who cares if he likes men too!

  16. Anna A • May 10, 2012 @ 12:48 PM

If it was intimidation, aggressive harrasment maybe sue for trauma, but I don’t think it is fair for celebrities to be sued for initiating attraction/sexual experiences. If a nobody initiated an interaction with someone, it wouldn’t go to court. They would just say not interested and that would be it. Seems like the masseurs may have enjoyed the attention if got to fondling stage…and then see the possibility of money and decide to sue! sorry for 2 posts guys…oops.

  18. G. • May 10, 2012 @ 1:12 PM

The only other people who should care whether or not John Travolta (besides John himself) is gay or bi are his wife, and children. I know men who have been married and have children with their wives and years later ‘came out’. It’s up to his wife if she wants to stay in the relationship or leave. As for the men who have accused him of behaving inappropriately in a sexual way toward them, they have a right to speak up, if indeed the accusations are true.

  19. rrp • May 10, 2012 @ 1:13 PM

It’s a gimick. Gotta be. These people try to harrass holywood stars figuring they’ll get cash out of them. Look at Michael Jackson and that kid who claimed the same thing put up to do this by his father. its all B.S.!!
Tabloid newspapers are loving this gossip

  20. realitycheck • May 10, 2012 @ 1:18 PM

ok…so I guess if you want to avoid accusations of “moral turpitude”, all you have to do is accumulate massive amounts of assets, because EVERYBODY knows that the ONLY thing accusers are interested in is a big payday, right ????? That there’s NEVER any truth to these headlines, right?

  21. Monkey Boy • May 10, 2012 @ 1:31 PM

This is just a shakedown. Same as with Michael Jackson. Sadly, the truth didn’t come out until after the poor guy was dead and buried. This is a mean thing to do to a good person who has been through his share of troubles. What people won’t do for money!

  22. Mack • May 10, 2012 @ 1:33 PM

What does it matter if he’s Gay or not? The only real problem should be the assault part, if that’s true – it needs to be dealt with – If they are false accusations – then those people need to be dealt with too. If he’s gay or Bi – who cares, that’s not why i watch his movies….. (same crap as Tom Cruise) gay or not WHY DOES IT MATTER?

  23. frawbra • May 10, 2012 @ 1:57 PM

When I first read this article I thought hey maybe he is gay and touching others inappropriately. Then I read all of the comments and agreed with most of them. I believe that as soon as he “rubbed his [masseurs] legs inappropriately” that would be a sign of consent so he went farther up to the genitals. If at any time the massage therapist became uncomfortable with the situation he should have just said no I’m not into that. I’m sure John would have stopped right then and there and not gone on to “openly trying to initiate sex”. I think it’s all about the money, and maybe he is a homosexual or bi-sexual, but who really cares…

  24. TheTruth • May 10, 2012 @ 2:18 PM

Poor John, all this spotlight on his sexual preference and character as a model citizen/celebrity must be giving him a ‘Broken Arrow’. This whole situation is looking to be quite the ‘Face Off’.

  25. anonymous2 • May 10, 2012 @ 3:16 PM

There was a picture of John Travolta on the steps of a plane kissing a man.It was in the National Post.If he sexually harassed men it will be decided in court.

  26. Wendy • May 10, 2012 @ 3:56 PM

I wonder if his Scientology buddies have a way of protecting him from this one…they are usually good at surrounding the celebs who donate huge dollars.

  27. PMMM • May 10, 2012 @ 5:25 PM

Scientology arranges marriages for their high-profile gay members: Cruise and Travolta both like to play the skin flute.

  28. nancy • May 10, 2012 @ 5:44 PM

BORING PEOPLE WITH NOTHING ELSE TO DO…
HOW TERRIBLE FOR JOHN WHO IS A DECENT MAN
AND TO DO THIS, IS BEYOND ME?

  29. nancy • May 10, 2012 @ 5:45 PM

WHY DON’T YOU PEOPLE GET A LIFE?

  30. shirley martin • May 10, 2012 @ 5:57 PM

SO WHAT!!!Live and let live, they are not abnormal,God knows exactly what he is doing, would any intellects like to challenge him on his design? Since when is it anyones G.D business what grownups do with other grownups in their bedrooms.Perhaps it’s time to get a life and stop looking in peepholes for your thrills. There are severe problems and genocide going on in every country, babies being raped and you want to criticize John for copping a feel? Grow up!!

  31. Heather • May 10, 2012 @ 6:30 PM

I don’t think the problem should be whether he is gay or not, that’s his business, but whether there was some sexual misconduct. And honestly, if he wanted to partake in some extra, out of the ordinary, gay or otherwise, stuff he has enough money that he could pay for it and keep it quiet. I think it’s all bull.

  32. Lee • May 10, 2012 @ 6:42 PM

The real story is the press hates anyone of John Travolta’s religion. Tom Cruise is also a Christian Science follower and they constantly accuse him of the exact same thing – that he is gay and his marriage is a “cover”. Why would they need to hide being gay? In Hollywood, being gay is a plus. There are many no-talent actors who seem to get jobs just BECAUSE they are gay. It’s the “in” thing. Look how Anne Heche gave her career a boost by pretending to be gay. She milked it as long as she could, being Ellen Degeneres’ partner until she thought Ellen’s career was over – then she suddenly became straight again. Give me a break. These guys are after Travolta’s money. Period. And the press is all over it because of their bias against his religion.

  33. Shirley • May 10, 2012 @ 6:53 PM

Who cares if He does U turns on the sheets.
That”s not important, but,,,, if He assaulted anyone He should be dealt with just the same as any other person. His church and Lawyers will be a challenge for anyone to win any law suit they bring on.

  34. Harri • May 10, 2012 @ 8:20 PM

    J T?
    GAY??!!
    Who knew. Amd who cares.
So he rubbed someones legs and nuts… big whoop.I can see it coming down to simply telling a guy or chick they are hot will constitute harrassment.
    What a bunch of crap!!!

  35. realitycheck • May 10, 2012 @ 9:03 PM

why is my comment waiting moderation?

  36. Susan Hubley • May 10, 2012 @ 9:25 PM

I don’t care if hes gay or straight but touching another person inappropriarly is a crime.

  37. LuvMyVamps! • May 10, 2012 @ 9:27 PM

    One word… BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  38. Robby • May 11, 2012 @ 8:34 AM

    Sorry massuse idiots,
    You should be so lucky.
Don’t settle John! not for these sh_ts.

Why does scum always crawl to the surface?

  39. Lola • May 11, 2012 @ 8:45 AM

Probably but isn’t it his business! OR does being in the public mean that our bedrooms are open for public scrutiny?

  40. Tinnia • May 11, 2012 @ 8:51 AM

Always questionable…biggest concern for me is if he IS gay. It’s unfair that he has put his wife in this position to publicly defend him, to potentially have to be embarrassed if he admits he is gay. Even if she married him knowing his “secret”, she will be ridiculed for being with him still. Its a lose, lose. His best bet is to keep his hand to himself and focus on life as he has ‘publicly’ chosen it to be….until he is willing and able to be honest about his sexuality. And with his wife.

  41. sandie • May 11, 2012 @ 1:42 PM

honestly, whether he is gay or bi is no one’s business but his and his wife’s. he is the only one who knows for sure what his sexual orientation is and that’s the way it should be.

as far as the allegations against him, if he did assault someone, he should be punished. if he didn’t, the people making the false allegations should be. personally, i think it’s all bs, but that’s just my opinion and i’m entitled to it just like everyone else. i mean really, celebrities know that if they step out of line everyone will hear about it. he’s been in the celebrity life for a very long time and knows how these things work. he doesn’t strike me as a stupid person, so why would he do it, knowing he would be caught??

  42. C-Dub • May 11, 2012 @ 4:39 PM

Really who cares and of course it’s all for money.

  43. Katherine • May 13, 2012 @ 1:20 PM

Did I not once see John Travolta dressed in drag for a part in a movie. Forget the movie, but I am sure he is a cross-dresser and gay and I have always had a feeling that his marriage is a cover and that he has a secret other side to his life.
This is not a judgement, just an observation.

John Travolta is a fag because Paul Barresi raped him and gave him the horrible disease in 1980. Paul Barresi is spreading the disgusting illness all over the place to this day!
