Selena Gomez, 23, feels like she’s ”coming into [her] own.”
The “Good for You” hitmaker believes that while working on her new album “Revival,” she matured and learned that she ”can’t make everyone happy.”
She shared: ”It’s almost like a metamorphosis. I feel like I’m coming into my own. I’ve been through stuff and I think that it’s been able to test me as a person. And I feel like I’m in charge of everything. It’s my time to just stop and say this is my perspective on where I am. I can’t make everyone happy. I need to learn to love myself first.”
And the singer insists she runs everything by her close friends including gal pal and fellow pop star Taylor Swift.
She added to Billboard magazine: ”My friends hear everything. It’s also good to have Taylor listen to my stuff … I am for sure that person that runs it by her peeps.”
Meanwhile, Selena previously revealed Taylor has taught her to be ”human.”
She shared: ”Taylor has such a beautiful way of bringing people together. That was good for me, because the more I started working, the more uncomfortable I was. I wouldn’t trust people, and Taylor has a way of stripping down everything and just getting down to being human. I love that.”
