Teen star Selena Gomez from Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place and upcoming film Monte Carlo is set to co-host the MuchMusic Video Awards, which takes place next month. The Disney star revealed her excitement Monday, saying, “I am thrilled and honored to host the MuchMusic Video Awards. I look forward to seeing all my Canadian fans and kicking off the summer together.” This will be the first time Selena has been at MuchMusic headquarters. No word yet who will be joining Gomez in hosting, though it wouldn’t be surprising if they choose her Canadian boyfriend, pop star Justin Bieber. The only other scheduled guest at the moment is Lady Gaga, who is set to perform. Previous hosts include fellow Disney stars Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. The singer/actress is also touring with her band Selena Gomez and The Scene, and is set to play at the Molson Ampitheatre in Toronto in August.
