Selena Gomez has won a Young Humanitarian Award. The 21-year-old singer was awarded the accolade at the unite4:good and Variety's unite4:humanity gala, held at the Sony Lot in Los Angeles, California, last night. The Spring Breakers star was honored after being recognized for promoting positivity, inspiring charitable engagement and empowering acts of kindness towards the children's charity UNICEF. Taking to her Twitter account after the ceremony, she wrote: ''By far the coolest award I've received -Young humanitarian award! Beyond proud to represent UNICEF since I was 17.'' Meanwhile, Demi Lovato and Alicia Keys - who performed a musical set each to conclude the event - also received awards during the ceremony for their charitable contributions.
