Shania Twain is engaged to Swiss-born Nestle businessman Frederic Thiebaud. In 2008, her then-husband Robert John ‘Mutt’ Lange allegedly had an affair with one of her best friends, Marie-Anne Thiebaud, who was also her house manager. Marie-Anne was married to Frederic at the time. Since that time, Shania and Frederic fell in love and he recently proposed. “Fred is a hopeless romantic, so it was done in a very special way,” a friend of Twain’s told Us Weekly. “I’ve never seen Shania so happy. She has ended up with the love of her life.” Frederic reportedly gave Shania a $100,000 three-carat, emerald cut diamond ring which he helped design. Shania has been spotted wearing a huge engagement ring and laughing and joking with 40-year-old Frederic. Shania called Frederic a “dear friend and a true gentleman” in August 2009, when they confirmed they were dating. A date for the wedding has not yet been set.
