Shania Twain’s husband cheated on her

Shania Twain filed for a divorce from her husband, Robert “Mutt” Lange last week because he cheated on her, sources say. Marie Ann Thiebaud, longtime secretary and manager of the couple’s chateau in Switzerland, is reportedly Lange’s mistress and the reason behind the breakup. A source told People magazine: “Mutt and Marie Ann left their spouses for each other.” However, Lange denies this, saying, “It’s not the reason.” Meanwhile, Shania is said to be devastated, with an insider saying: “This came out of left field. She loved him.” Another source close to the Canadian superstar said she is coping with the help of “a close-knit group of family and friends.” Twain, 42, and Lange, 59, married in 1993. They have a six-year-old son together.
If true, then she definitely deserves better. Next time, I hope she feels like a man instead of a cheating rat.
However, Lange denies this, saying, “It’s not the reason.”….so in other words his affair is not the reason for their split…hmmmm, let me guess….it’s all her fault that he cheated, right? No good cheater! I understand that some marriages don’t work out, but there is no excuse for cheating! What, you can’t keep your pecker in your pants long enough to pack a suitcase and tell your wife that you can’t handle being married anymore? After you have done so, go get all the girlfriends you want……slimy cheater!!
theres always two sides to a story, considering no one knows shania personally, or her husband, mabe the marriage was dying. yes he cheated..but why? theres always another reason besides “hes a slimy cheater”
WHAT??? Are you kidding me… there is no need to cheat… dying relationship or not!! If there was nothing left to fight for, then leave. BUT, cheating proves nothing more than a lack of respect for your spouse!! There are no other reasons… leave and then screw your whores… and not before!!

I agree, if a marriage has reached a point where one is even considering cheating, then it’s time to get out of the marriage. Cheating only adds more hurt, and it’s not necessary.

I agree that NO ONE deserves to be cheated on…not even those who have cheated on us. If they were to get exactly what they deserved it wouldn’t be to retalliate by cheating on them…it would be, as said above, “OFF WITH THEIR….” And, I think being ‘physically attractive’ means that Mutt is a MUTT, not that an attractive man would not have cheated!! I think Mutt should have considered himself lucky that someone as physically beautiful as Eileen was physically attracted to him at all! Let’s just see how long his gold-digging receptionist sticks with him!! I don’t think that she is a ‘B*tch’ for having that stage-hand fired and thrown out. Do you know how many nut cases are out there trying to get close to stars through jobs like this? He was supposed to be doing his job not hounding her for her autograph while she is preparing for a concert.
If he fell out of love with Shania or vice versa, whatever, then own up to it and call it quits and move on. Love and marriage is not always chisled in stone forever.
I agree there is no good reason to cheat, however, Mutt’s lived in France/Switzerland for years where having a mistress is very common and accepted.
Unfortunately for him he married a gal from Northern Ontario who would probably have kicked his butt, if not cut up his toys with her handy chainsaw.

for my money, most women that look as good as she does are bitches, because they know that they look as good as they do. and probably because they have to spend a lot of money to stay that way.
the whole marriage thing was really a farce anyway though … the only surprise is it lasted as long as it did. like celine dion and her creepy fossil angelil, they only got together because of work — he had what she needed to succeed and make a lot of bucks, and she was a trophy for him, and a way to make more $$$$ that i’m sure he didn’t need either.

I think people cheat because for a certain length of time they are ‘airheads’…literally! Meaning that their brain is not located in their head for that span of time! They believe they will not get caught. The thrill of doing something they shouldn’t be doing.
