The adventure-packed documentary shows the real-life adventures of Rob Stewart as he dives with majestic sharks and goes undercover to find out why so many sharks go missing each year, despite the fact that his first award-winning film, Sharkwater, resulted in more than 85 countries banning shark finning. It also inspired people who’d seen the movie to form over a dozen conservation groups to protect these magnificent creatures.
Sharkwater Extinction, which debuted to a standing ovation at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival, has already won awards at film festivals around the world. It enjoyed a theatrical run last fall in Canada and debuts in select U.S. theaters on March 1, 2019, and in the U.K. on March 22, 2019.
However, if you don’t want to wait to see this incredible film, it’s now available for digital download by clicking on this link if you are in the U.S. or by clicking this link if you’re in Canada. Enjoy! ~Alexandra Heilbron
