Shia LaBeouf has signed on to play a law student at Yale University in Paramount Pictures’ legal thriller The Associate, based on a yet-to-be-published novel by John Grisham, according to Variety. The trade paper says Shia’s character, who’s about to graduate, is forced by figures from his past to take a job at a top legal firm in order to pass on top secret information about a multimillion-dollar lawsuit. The book, which is Grisham’s 11th novel to be turned into a movie, will be released in January by Random House.
Ok, so he’s playing the part of a law student! When I first read the headline I thought he was actually going to Yale as a student and couldn’t believe it! 😉
I was thinking of the samething. If it’s just a movie, waiting for it to come out in theatres. Good luck shia
This storyline sure sounds awfully similar to ‘The Firm’ (Tom Cruise), based on another J.Grisham novel.
