Shia LaBeouf kicked out of Broadway show

You won’t see Shia LaBeouf, 26, making his Broadway debut anytime soon. The Transformers star has left his newest venture, the revival of Lyle Kessler’s 1983 production Orphans, less than a month before it was scheduled to begin preview performances. The play tells the tale of two orphans who decide to kidnap a wealthy man. Shia was to play one orphan, while Alec Baldwin is playing the kidnapped man. Tom Sturridge was also cast in the revival. After LaBeouf’s departure, the producers of the show released a statement on Wednesday, saying “Due to creative differences, the producers of Orphans and Shia LaBeouf will be parting ways and he will not be continuing with the production. An announcement on the replacement of the role of Treat will be made shortly.” The show will continue as scheduled, with preview performances to begin March 19 at Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
